Tackling Long-Term Care
There are choices. This non-profit site developed by the State of California helps you navigate the complex, overwhelming and costly issue of long-term care. We offer an honest, straightforward look at the facts, the costs and the emotional challenges of long-term care, while weighing real world solutions. Two out of three Californians will need long-term care – the California Partnership for Long-Term Care, an educational program of the California Department of Health Care Services, is dedicated to making sure you’re ready.
LATEST UPDATE: In August 2023, the California Department of Insurance received several complaints regarding misleading marketing and communications by some long-term care insurers and agents in connection with the work of the California Long-Term Care InsuranceSpecific type of insurance policy designed to offer financial support to pay for necessary long-term care services. Task Force (AB 567). These communications falsely assert that a new payroll tax will be imposed in the near future, and that consumers should rush to buy long-term care insurance before the end of 2023.
